Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax 128 oz.

Wash and wax your vehicle – with one product!

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax is yet another revolutionary product from Optimum Polymer Technologies. Dr. David Ghodoussi - the brains behind Optimum car care products - managed to fuse his award-winning No Rinse Wash & Shine with the patented UV inhibitors found in Optimum Car Wax to create an all-new product – Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax. The latest innovation from Optimum Polymer Technologies promises to deliver the convenience of a rinseless car wash with the cutting-edge protection of advanced UV inhibitors and high-grade carnauba wax.

When Optimum Polymer Technologies introduced No Rinse Wash & Shine, it changed the way people washed their cars. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine made it possible to wash your car without a free-flowing source of water. Instead of dragging out the hose and using an excessive amount of water, Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine enabled you to safely wash your car using only a couple gallons of water. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine quickly gained recognition as one of the most ground-breaking car care products introduced in the 21st century and the latest offering from Optimum, No Rinse Wash & Wax, continues this trend.

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax combines the attributes that made No Rinse Wash & Shine such a widely accepted product among car care enthusiasts and professional detailers and supercharges it by adding real carnauba wax and advanced UV inhibitors. After you wash your vehicle with Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax, you’ll immediately notice the crisp, clear reflections that the real carnauba wax imparts on the paint. What’s more, your vehicle will stay cleaner as the carnauba wax will create an immense amount of surface tension, causing water to bead up and roll off.

There is one thing you should know about your vehicle’s paint: the UV inhibitors in your clear coat have a half life of about five years. That means if you don’t keep your vehicle clean and protected on a regular basis, your clear coat will slowly begin to wear away, leaving the color coat exposed to the elements. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax is a dual-purpose product; you wash your car the environmentally-friendly way while imparting a glossy, protective layer of carnauba wax and advanced UV inhibitors. Vehicles regularly cleaned with Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax will be protected from anything nature can throw at them.

What’s the big deal about rinseless car washes? As more countries enforce stringent water restrictions, it’s becoming more difficult to properly wash your vehicle. In some countries, it’s even illegal to wash your vehicle the traditional way. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax eliminates the hose and run-off that occurs from rinsing a soapy car. Plus, if you live in an area with cold temperatures or where snow fall occurs, Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax enables you to wash your vehicle inside your garage. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax is also perfect if you live in an apartment complex and don’t have access to a hose.

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax is water-soluble, biodegradable, and meets all water usage laws established by the federal Clean Water Act and the Environmental Protection Agency.

  1. Add two gallons of water to a 5 gallon wash bucket and add one ounce of No Rinse Wash & Wax (this will be your wash bucket).
  2. Add three gallons of water to a 5 gallon wash bucket with a Grit Guard Insert in place (this will be your rinse bucket).
  3. Soak several thick, plush microfiber towels (Gold Plush Jr.) in the wash bucket.
  4. Working one panel at a time, fold a towel soaked in the solution four ways (or into a manageable size) and clean the panel.  It is not necessary to scrub.  Flip the towel often if the panel is heavily soiled.
  5. Place the towel in the rinse bucket, agitate it against the Grit Guard Insert, and wring it out before placing it back into the wash bucket.
  6. Using a high-quality drying towel (Guzzler Waffle Weave), gently dry the panel.  Flip the towel to a dry side and give it a quick buff.
  7. Repeat for each panel.
Tech tip: It’s best to start washing at the top of the vehicle and work your way down. This way, you avoid cleaning the same panel twice due to product run-off. As your wash towel becomes heavily soiled, switch to a new one. If the vehicle is excessively dirty (think winter time), it’s best to spray the panel with a waterless wash first to help loosen any dirt.

Too good to be true!
I have been maintaining my cars for over 50 years. I am very anal about the look and condition of my vehicle and fishing boat. This product produces results like no other product on the market, period! Easy and fast to use on lightly dusted vehicles as explained. When my car is gritty dirty, I first take it to a do it yourself car wash and pressure wash the extreme dirt and grit and then just dry the car with microfiber cloths damp with Optimum. Try it once and you will certainly trash all of your old cleaning products.

A no-rinse wash that does not scratch your paint
I needed a way to wash my vehicles indoors during the winter months without using a lot of water because my garage does not have floor drains. I wanted a product that would not scratch the paint of my vehicles. I also wanted a product that would not strip off any of the wax and sealants. After researching and trying many different no-rinse and waterless products I have settled on the Optimum No Rinse Wash. First off, you do use a little water when using this product, you just don't have to rinse off the vehicle with water before drying.

Here is the process that I use:

I mix 2 oz of ONR with one gallon of water and put the mixture in a small sprayer. I prep three buckets with warm water. The first bucket is used for rinsing the big red sponge or mitt, the second bucket is for washing the wheels and tires and the third bucket has 2 gallons of water with 1 ounce of ONR used for the contact wash. Soak your big red sponge or microfiber mitt in the ONR bucket.

-Pre-rinse with ONR:
I take the small sprayer and coat the entire car (plus wheels and tires) with ONR. You can actually see the ONR lift the dirt off of the paint.

-Wheels and tires:
I apply my favorite wheel and tire cleaner and then use my brushes and warm water to properly clean the wheels and tires. I will also clean the wheel wells if needed. Right now my favorite wheel and tire cleaner is TW foaming wheel and tire cleaner. I just bought some today for $3.97 at a big box store.

-Contact wash:
I prefer using the big red sponge when working with ONR. I clean one section at a time and rinse the sponge in the other bucket of warm water as needed. I then put the sponge back into the ONR and only wring out a little of the water.

-Drying aid with a protectant:
There are many different brands, but lately, I have been using TW wax and dry. You can usually find it for $4.97 a bottle. While the car is still wet I spray the drying aid over the entire car (including glass, chrome, lights, wheels, etc.) working from the top down.

Once the entire vehicle is coated with the drying agent, I use a Cobra Guzzler HD Waffle Weave Drying Towel to soak up the majority of the water. I will touch up with a microfiber towel. I usually focus on all painted surfaces first and then dry all glass last.

-Finish up:
I take an old microfiber towel and dry off the wheels and apply my favorite tire sealant.

I know this sounds like a time-consuming process, but I believe it is worth it not to add scratches to your paint. It takes about 15 minutes to prep everything and another 10 minutes to clean up. It takes me about 45 minutes to pre-rinse, wash wheels and tires, contact wash, add drying aid, dry the vehicle and finish up.

You can see pictures of the pathfinder before and after the ONR wash. This was before I did any paint correction to the pathfinder. I did a paint correction and applied wax on my truck a few months ago. After it got muddy recently, I used the above ONR process to clean it up. It looks just like it did after I protected it a few months ago.
Go-to for rinseless wash
This has become my most used detailing product. Perfect for weekly washes, I'm able to maintain a presentable vehicle in less than 20 minutes. Been using Optimum products for a while now, and still marvel at how ONR(WW) manages to clean so well and leave no scratches and swirls (and with a sponge, no less)!
Used too much in my dilution once on a particular hot and humid Miami day, and it did leave behind some water spot residue. But a second pass took care of it.
I've only used it on a car that already had Opti Seal, so can't speak to its protection abilities, but it definitely doesn't diminish the protection; the car beads like crazy!
Also, ONRWW definitely leaves a slightly glossier finish than ONR.
ProsReally does encapsulate dirt to leave a scratch/swirl free finish Glossy finish More efficient than traditional wash method Greatly reduces water usage

Even better than regular O.N.R.
This is the backbone of my business.
It cost me pennies to do a maintenance wash.
If you haven't tried O.N.R. yet, do it. Now is the time. 1 bucket with 2 gallons of distilled water and 1oz of O.N.R. and a few microfiber towels soaking in said bucket. Pre treat panel by panel with a spray bottle with O.N.R. use all sides of towel, discard and grab a new one and you can wash your car many many times. Use optimum spray wax as a drying aid and you are good to go.
ProsQuick Easy Smells good Can have in a bucket for awhile Clay lube dilutable too.
