The FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher only weighs 4 lbs! Don't let its small size fool you - the PE8 is powerful enough to remove swirls and scratches

The FLEX PE8 is smooth, lightweight, and easy to use
Compact, lightweight design enables you to polish small, intricate body panels with ease
Professional detailers know that it’s impossible to get by with just one or two tools, which is why FLEX took it upon themselves to design, engineer, and create a polisher specifically for polishing small, intricate body panels and motorcycles. While it’s true you can equip a full size rotary polisher with a smaller backing plate, the physical size and weight of the tool makes it difficult to see exactly where you’re polishing. The FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher is a purpose built tool that will quickly become an asset in every detail.

Benefits of the FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher:
  • Compact, lightweight design reduces fatigue – only weighs 4 lbs
  • Perfect for precision buffing – thin panels and tight areas
  • Small pad makes for precise control
  • Smooth and quiet
  • Powerful, 7.6 amp motor
  • Can be used with pads as small as 1 inch in diameter
The FLEX FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher has the German quality you’ve come to expect from FLEX tools. The rugged motor operates between 1,300 and 3,900 RPM while staying cool in the process. Whether you’re detailing boats or cars, the FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher has enough power to remove oxidation and swirl marks without breaking a sweat.

The FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher is perfect for surgical buffing, headlight restoration, motorcycle detailing, glass polishing, and more! Use with pads ranging from 1 to 3 inches in diameter.

The FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher has shut-off carbon brushes. When the carbon brushes wear down, the motor automatically shuts off to avoid damage. This is one of the many features that sets FLEX polishers apart from lesser tools.

FLEX PE8 is designed to be used with a 3 inch pad or smaller FLEX PE8 can be used by anyone!

A 3 inch backing plate is recommended for the FLEX PE8 Lightweight 3 Inch Rotary Polisher. With the flexible 3 inch rotary backing plate, you can use 3 or 3.5 inch Lake Country Foam Pads.

Great for boats
Used this on my boat where my long throw DA couldn't reach. Boat looks brand new again. Couldn't have gotten the same results by hand
ProsGreat light weight machine

Love this flex mini rotary
I love this unit!! It is compact, solid built, feels great in a hand, very well balanced and quite. It has lots of power and unit is very capable. I was leery about high starting speed but it's not a problem at all. Overall, a very very quality tool. One gripe is the trigger but something you get used to.
Strong...Even too strong if there is such a thing.
I bought this for my headlight restoration business (www.americlearheadlights.com) and I use this and a PC7424. I NEVER go above speed 1 or 2 on a headlight restoration. This thing is so torque laden and powerful, you simply cannot use all the speeds (a feature I thought I could do). They really should consider that. The first time using this (my first forced rotation), It almost jumped out of my hand and walked across the bumper. I did not know what to expect, I put too much force on it and learned quick.

It is VERY smooth, can't wait to buy a 3401 one day. I love that it senses the pressure you put on it. Say you are on speed 2/3, on paint, once you pull the polisher off-it senses it and goes down to the lowest speed. I tried it on paint, small sections at a time. One time, no holograms (at least what I could see, but didn't have a bright sun that day). The second time, I had holograms. I heard that is NORMAL for a rotary polisher, so I followed it up with my PC. One reviewer here said he had no holograms, good for him. I'm sure this is pad/polish sensitive, so the right combo could equal no holograms I guess.

Part of a One - Two Punch
For the big areas I love the Flex 3401 but for the small areas this light-weight , compact baby is the answer to work smarter not harder. Do yourself a favor and just get the kit that has an answer for every small area you'll encounter.I own a Makita. It's now used only as a sander/grinder.
Pros1.Quality built to last 2. Light-weight 3. Compact
ConsWould have preferred a trigger but it's not a "deal breaker" for me. Buy the kit. It's the way to go.

An excellent little machine to add in your Detailing Arsenal
I decided to get this polisher because it came from the Flex Family and I am extremely happy with my Flex 3401. I was actually concerned by reading that this was a rotary and that the minimum RPM was 1,300 at Speed setting 1. When I received it I did look the PE8 over. 1st The build quality is typical Flex quality. Very well built and to my surprise a little heavier than I thought (4+LBS). It felt very solid and looks like it will last as long as my Flex 3401. 2nd The machine is very smooth and quiet to operate. I actually had to adapt to no vibrations (like any DA) and it was quiet too. 3rd Speed setting 1 at 1,300RPM is NOT AN ISSUE AT ALL! I have read on the forum most people thought 1,300 RPM for the lowest setting was too high. Well after using the PE8 Speed setting 1 is FINE. I actually had to bump the speed setting to 2 for applying sealant and wax. SO PEOPLE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT SPEED SETTING 1. 4th This IMO is the MOST IMPORTANT: If you use the polisher correctly, you will not experience any HOLOGRAMS after use. LET ME REPEAT NO HOLOGRAMS! I am getting used to the machine so I was afraid I would cause holograms with correcting my side mirror (Wet sand/compound/polish). No issues at all!!! I do believe any of the AGO members with a good level of detailing experience will experience the same satisfaction as I did. You can accomplish the same thing I did. Hologram free work! IMO this was the best choice for me to get a dedicated polisher. I am very happy I got this polisher and I hope this review will make your decision much easier..
Pros1. Very quiet and smooth. 2, Very easy to maneuver. 3. The thumb trigger is easy to use once you get used to it. 4. Speed setting 1 is fine. 5. Get all the backing plates 1, 2 and 3 inch and pads the flexibility is even better. 6. Excellent for applying sealant/wax with 4" hydrotech or equivalent pads. 7. GET THE 5/8 Extension!!!
ConsYou will need to get used to the polisher from walking and grabbing. I did and I have not mastered it yet, however, I am getting used to it. Additionally, I am still trying to get used to how smooth and quiet it is....if you are used to a DA (any brand) you will need to adjust.
