The FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher has shut-off carbon brushes. When the carbon brushes wear down, the motor automatically shuts off to avoid damage. This is one of the many features that sets FLEX polishers apart from lesser tools.

A 3 inch backing plate is recommended for the FLEX PE8 Lightweight 3 Inch Rotary Polisher. With the flexible 3 inch rotary backing plate, you can use 3 or 3.5 inch Lake Country Foam Pads.
