McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner

An intense cleaner for all your foam and lambswool pads in a convenient spray bottle.

Clean pads produce better results, are less likely to mar, and last longer. There is absolutely no downside to cleaning buffer pads and reusing them! McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner is a penetrating cleaner that releases products from foam and wool polishing pads, and refreshes the texture of the pad. You’ll get more mileage out of your pads and spend less time cleaning them!

McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner is an intense cleaner formulated specifically for foam and wool pads that are laden with car care products. To understand how this cleaner works, you’ve got to take a look deep inside the foam, where products accumulate during the detailing process:

Polishes, swirl removers, and compounds all contain oils that serve as lubricants. They have to – otherwise you’d be polishing with a dry pad! If there’s one thing we know about oils it’s that they’re, well, oily. They leave a residue. Even if you rinse the pad immediately after using it, the oily residue remains because oil repels water and vice versa. To truly clean the pad, you have to use a degreasing cleaner.

McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner contains a strong degreasing agent that breaks up oil and eliminates every last trace of residue. Soap (as in dish soap) can leave a residue of its own, so there is no soap in this cleaner. The only thing you will find in McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner is CLEAN.

Think of the inside of a foam pad as a series of interlocking rooms. McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner powers through these chambers in a way the water or soapy water can’t accomplish. When it encounters a roadblock, it breaks through, flooding the foam with oil-dissolving cleaner. When you rinse the pad, the cleaner is flushed out of the pores, leaving the pad clean, fresh and rejuvenated.

Wool pads are a unique cleaning challenge, but McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner can handle it. Polishes can stick the wool’s fibers together like glue. McKee's 37 Pad Cleaner eradicates the oily bond holding the fibers together so the wool bounces back to life once dry.

Pinnacle is dedicated to preserving your vehicle and the environment. McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner is VOC compliant under the guidelines for an all purpose cleaner.

McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner is ready to use in a convenient spray bottle. Each time you change pads as you polish, mist the used pad thoroughly with McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner and set the pad aside. The cleaner will prevent products from drying out and caking in the pad as you work on your vehicle. Once you’re done detailing, scrub the pre-soaked pads with a foam conditioning brush. Rinse them in running water to completely remove residues. For the best results, clean the pads right away.

McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner can even breathe new life into old pads. Dried, caked products are no match for the intense cleaner. Spray the pad thoroughly and let it soak in for several seconds. Use a Foam Pad Conditioning Brush to agitate the pad. Rinse well. Repeat this process if necessary.

McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner brings foam and lambswool pads back to life with penetrating cleaning agents and degreasers. This is the only cleaner you need to unlock stubborn residues and rejuvenate the pad texture. Spray it on and the polish is gone!

Makes Pad Cleaning Easy
I received this with a Griot's DA kit and couldn't be happier. Cleaning my pads after a long day of use was so easy I couldn't believe it. I simply donned some gloves, sprayed down my pads and let them soak a few minutes and then worked it around by squeezing the pads a bit and then rinsed with hot water while lightly brushing with a nylon brush. They came out looking as good as new! Incredible stuff.
ProsSo easy even I, a complete novice, can keep my pads in top shape.

Yeah you need this...
When I first started detailing, I thought "I don't need a pad cleaner, I'll just use hot water to clean my pads." Well I was wrong. While hot water did an OK job, there's no comparison to how clean you'll get your pads when using XMT pad cleaner. After a detail, I spray the pads lightly and let the XMT pad cleaner penetrate for 10 - 15 mins. I then simply rinse the pads in hot water and each and every time the pads come out looking like new. Set them aside to dry and the next day you'd be hard pressed to know your pads weren't new. It gets the pads THAT clean.
Pros- A pleasure to use - Does exactly what it says it will do - Cleans pads very well and greatly extends the amount of uses you can get out of your pads before replacing - Fair price

XMT PC
Excellent product, works as advertised. I spray my pads with it right after the job, let it soak for a few minutes and toss them in my washing machine and bada bing, super clean. A little goes along way, just a couple quick spritzes. I did replace the sprayer with a trigger, works much better.

Works flawlessly
Awesome and easy product. smells strong, but works damned well. The only problem i have is I received mine in a bottle with a hole behind the label. besides that, its a must have to keep pads brand new. Even my old pads i thought were done were brought back to life. A few generous sprays will do the trick.
Pros- Keeps pads new - Easy to use - You won't run out of cleaner anytime soon(unless you have a leaking bottle like me). - Good value
Cons- Harsh smell - Leaking bottle(for me at least).

Great!
Awesome pad cleaner. Works fantastic for removing built up polish and compounds from pads. Tough time removing carnuba from soft finishing foam pads but just takes alittle extra soaking and rising. Smells bad so I suggest using out doors.
ProsCuts through polish and compounds from Lake County pads for a brand new looking clean. Cheap Little goes a long way.
ConsStrong chemical smell Hard time removing carnuba build up in softer pads

2nd time around
When I purchased my first bottle of Pinnacle's XMT foam pad cleaner I wasn't completely sure I wasn't spending my money wisely. My philosophy at the time was I had spent so much money on all the other detailing products why not go the distance and buy a product designed specifically for cleaning the polishing pads also. I was surprised at how well this product worked. All I did was spray an ample amount of the cleaner on each of the pads and allowed them to sit for about ten minutes. Then using a moderate flow of water I and squeezing the pads rather firmly it became evident that this product was worth every penny. After thoroughly rinsing each pad I hung them up and allowed them to air dry overnight. After drying I inspected the pads, they felt clean to the touch and I couldn't smell any of the wax or polish in any of the pads. Bottom line: This product, just like all of the Pinnacle products I've used works as advertised.
ProsEasy to use, leaves behind no residue or smell and your polishing pads are good as new

Make sure you have this product to clean foam pads. It will remove XMT polishes, like #3 and #1 and leave the pads like new.

Excellent Pad Cleaner
The first time I used this product I thought it sure does seem overpriced! Well, thanks to the fine mister nozzle it lasts a long time which allows the price not to drag down the rating in this review. When I change a pad I spray the old one with this product and let it sit no more than 1 minute while priming the new pad. Then I throw the old pad in my bucket full of water and let it soak until I'm done with the job to finish cleaning it.

Does the job
I use this each time I am finished with a foam pad. Product works really well. Simple to use and removes all the product that were on the pad making it look new. Only bad thing is that it has a strong toxic smell so I recommend using it outdoors.

Good, but ruined my pad
Product cleans well, but make sure to rinse pad right away or drop in water. I left my pad out after spraying and product dissolved my LC pad. Also has offensive odor. I prefer the DP cleaning product because less toxic.

Great
All I do when I finish with any of my pads is spray them with XMT pad cleaner and toss them in a bucket of clean water. After I'm done with my detail I rinse the pads and the XMT has cleaned them perfectly.

One of the best foam cleaners I've used
Brought my foam LC pads back to like new condition. Just spray it on, let sit for a minute or two, then scrub pad with a foam conditioning brush and rinse. It's that easy. It even removed dried-out/caked pads with ease. Awesome!

Top Knotch
I used to let my pads soak in hot water with dawn to get them nice and clean. With this stuff, a few spray and work it into the pad and they clean up right before your eyes. Cut the cleaning time in half. Highly recommend the kit.

Say goodbye to harsh scrubbing...just spray on..let it sit and rinse your pads clean...its been the first pad cleaner that actually gets my pads clean without them soaking in a bucket for hours in pad cleaner...
