CARPRO TRIX Tar and Iron Remover 500 ml.

Save time by removing tar and iron at the same time!

CARPRO TRIX Tar and Iron Remover combines two paint decontamination steps into one, saving you time and money! This product is designed specifically for pro detailers to prepare vehicles for detailing using less time, materials, and labor. CARPRO TRIX is a strong degreaser, cleaner, tar remover and iron remover for virtually any exterior automotive surface.

Airborne chemical compounds and ferrous (iron-containing) particles penetrate auto paint and create corrosive compounds that eat into the paint's sublayers. Detailing clay removes the particles but it doesn't remove their effects - corrosion may already be creeping under the paint's surface. TRIX Tar and Iron Remover dissolves iron particles and tar to protect the paint finish from their destructive effects.

CARPRO TRIX is a combination of Iron X plus special chemicals that remove tar and naphtha base components. What this means for pro detailers is that one product removes a variety of harmful contaminants from the paint. Meanwhile, TRIX degreases the auto surface to prepare it for polishing. After using TRIX, the paint will be impeccably clean.

CARPRO TRIX has a pH neutral base chemical. It is safe on most auto surfaces. Use it on wheels, paint, glass, plastic trim, aluminum, and chrome. (Warning: do not let TRIX dry on plastics!)

CARPRO TRIX Tar and Iron Remover is extremely easy to use. It does the work for you! Just spray it on, wait, and then wipe or rinse it off.

Professional detailers and auto restoration specialists will save a tremendous amount of time and labor with this single product. CARPRO TRIX Tar and Iron Remover cuts prep time in half.

  1. Shake very well before spraying product each time.
  2. Spray on the surface and let product react for 5 minutes maximum.
  3. Rinse off or wipe with a soft sponge or microfiber towel.

Works very well, bit of course the smell will always be there lol
ProsDecontaminates well. Great for everything.
It works
This is an amazing product. It does things, i.e. reveal the junk that the eyeballs can't see that washing and claying (is this a word?) cannot do. In any case, I am happy with the product and would buy it again.
Pretty good
My wife's pearl-white LaCrosse has had fallout spots since new, and with the street crews performing the wasteful and ineffective "tar and pea-gravel" method of road repair, when I washed her car two weeks ago, I knew I needed to try something else. In addition, due to midwest winters, her chrome wheels were looking pretty rotten even after a good scrubbing. After many reviews and watching videos I decided to give trix a try. I first washed her car again using a quality car soap. I shook the trix very VERY well as I applied it. As it should, within minutes the car looked like a white and purple tie-dye. As on the directions I agitated with a wash mitt and a wheel brush, waited and then rinsed and re-washed. The results were acceptable, about 50% of the iron spots were gone or smaller. The tar unfortunately wasn't affected as much, maybe 30%, and the wheels didn't change very much. After fully re-washing I decided to give it another go, so I sprayed the car a 2nd time. This time there was less purple on the paint, and almost none on the wheels, very little tar or "brown" streaks even though there was plenty of tar spots. Maybe my trix mixture didn't get as much of the tar-x as it should have?? After agitating, waiting, and another full wash I can say that the iron spots are about 95% gone, maybe more, so I'm pretty happy about that. The tar spots were smaller, softer, and most of them I was able to wash off or scrape away with my thumbnail. The wheels however never got as clean as I hoped. Better, but they still need more attention. Overall, I'm pleased with the results and feel the purchase was worth it. I bought the 1 liter bottle (delivered in less than 5 days by autogeek) and used a little less than 1/3 of the bottle for each application, so I still have enough to use it one more time or on another vehicle, thus buying the 1 liter is probably a good way to go. I believe in the future, if needed, I might go with just the Iron-x (it does work), and a separate bug/tar cleaner, wheel cleaner or similar. Many people seem to think this stuff is awesome. In my experience it's a bit short on the tar cleaning. Still, I'm not regretting using it. Oh, and the smell...it's not bad at all. Anyone who grew up in the 80's or earlier probably knows the smell of a home hair perm, it's exactly that smell.
Prosgreat on iron spots
Consnot as good on tar and for (in my case) chrome wheels.
