Montana Original 10 inch Boar's Hair Car Wash Brush

The Montana Original 10 inch Boar's Hair Brush fits into any standard 5 gallon wash bucket and its threaded for an extendable handle!

The Montana Original 10 inch Boar's Hair Wash Brush is pure luxury! It gently massages the paint surface to release dirt and grime while protecting the paint with all the slippery suds it holds within its bristles. From luxury sedans to sporty coupes, any vehicle can benefit from the soft touch of boar’s hair.

The Montana Original 10 inch Boar's Hair Brush is designed for your convenience and your vehicle's protection. The brush head is 10” wide (2 inches narrower than our a la carte brush) in order to fit into any standard wash bucket with a 10 inch diameter. The brush fits perfectly into our Autogeek Complete Wash System with Dolly.

Plus, this Montana Original 10 inch Boar's Hair Brush is outlined with a rubber strip to protect the paint surface from accidental impact.

Our Montana Original 10 inch Boar's Hair Wash Brush is packed with four hundred hairs per bundle. Boar's hair is naturally fathered at the ends but our bristles are flagged (split) one more time before being affixed to the heavy duty plastic handle. The tight bundles of hair ensure that the bristles remain sturdy as they gently whisk away dirt and grime from your vehicle. This brush is 100% genuine boar’s hair!

If you're going to use our finest wash tool, you might as well use our best shampoo! Dilute 1-2 ounces of Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo in a five gallon bucket for excellent lubrication and suds. For the best results, fill a second bucket with clean water and rinse the brush before reloading it with soap. This technique prevents recontamination of the vehicle.

The 10 inch Boars Hair Wash Brush can't be beat when it comes to gentle, luxurious cleansing of your large vehicle. The 10 inch brush and extendable handle bring a clean, shiny finish within your reach.

Brush is 10 inches wide with 4 inch bristles.

This brush is threaded for the Telescopic Handle. The handle is made of indestructible aluminum with a plastic grip and threaded insert. It's lightweight and easy to handle, even when reaching areas over your head. When you work your way down to more accessible panels, simply unscrew the handle from the brush head.

Made in U.S.A.

Detailing Tip: It's recommended you soak your boar's hair wash brush in soapy water for a few minutes before use to make the hairs softer and more pliable.

You can purchase the Montana Original 10 inch Boar’s Hair Brush & Telescopic Handle for just $10 more than the brush itself. Save $4.99 when you purchase the combo!

Not recommended for soft paint
Pricey brush. Soaked it for a few minutes before using. However, on soft Hyundai paint, it left straight-line scratches. Should have done a test spot first. I now only use this brush on SUVs/trucks that I will be machine polishing. Wouldn't recommend this for regular washes on vehicles with soft paint.

Great time saver
My original reason for purchase was to wash the roof of the Outback and save dragging out a little step ladder and eliminate all the hazards and hassles involved with that. I had this conception any brush on a stick is going to be too harsh on the paint but after using it one time, I love it. Holds lots of suds, soft as silk. It does have a smell when drying that reminds me of a dead mouse but I'll gladly put up with that for the shear convenience.
ProsSoft yet firm enough to get right along trim, does a good job, very convenient, cut down my wash time.
ConsYea, it stinks when it's drying.

Outstanding Addition to Your Car Wash Arsenal
When you first hold it, you know you're using a quality tool (it better be for the price!). The base of the brush is nice and heavy, edged with rubber for a good grip and the bristles are long and densely packed. You will lose a couple (and I literally mean like two) bristles the first time you use it, but that's it. I've used this brush a number of times now and couldn't be happier with it. Most places I'd seen online recommended soaking it before you use it - I soak it in one of my buckets filled with water while I clean my wheels and tires (~10-15 mins). Glides over paint effortlessly and quickly - coming from a traditional sheepskin mitt, this brush has cut the time it took to wash my car in half. No scratching at all, and it picks up a ton of soapy sudsy water from the bucket. There are a couple of places this brush can't get into (on my Focus ST, I still have to use a mitt to get the space between the rear spoiler and the top of the hatch window), but that's to be expected. The brush feels custom-designed for use with a grit guard in your rinse bucket - you just lightly press it against the guard and twist to clean the brush. Swish it a little on the way out and shake out any excess water before going back to the soap bucket. When you do this, the results are amazing - I always examine the wash and rinse water as I'm emptying and cleaning out my buckets and the difference between using this brush and the various mitts I've used is unreal. The wash water is practically as clean as it was when I started, while the rinse water has a lot more dirt in it than I was used to seeing. Dirt in the rinse water is dirt that isn't going back into your soap, so thumbs up all around. The only things that you might hold against it are the price and the distinct funk to the bristles that intensifies when it gets wet. This may go away later on, but after four washes it's still hanging around and it's definitely a little weird.
ProsHUGE time-saver Scratch-free when soaked before use Perfect for use with two-bucket method + grit guard Keeps the dirt in the rinse water Rock-solid construction
ConsMight not be able to get every part of your car

Montana Oringinal 10" Boar`s Hair
I soaked brush for half hour in my rinse bucket. No scratches held suds and glided across all panels. I am very pleased with results and ease of use. 10" brush fits well in both buckets. Brush reminded me of my Dad`s shaving soap brush I played with a long time ago.
ProsI should have many quality washes for many years. Great results and faster than my sheep wool mitt.
ConsPricey but brush should if properly cared for outlast many wash mitts. Boar hair does come with a slight odor. Really noticed when I was rinsing brush after washing 2 cars.

It Works!
A great tool that takes the drudgery out of washing the car. Along with the Stainless Steel handle I can wash 10 vehicles in the time it use to take me to wash one without getting my hands wet or climbing on a ladder to get the roof which is nice especially during the winter months. The bristles are smoother than a baby behind but still cleans effectively. I love working smarter not harder.
ConsA set screw to keep the handle from loosening would have been nice but it's not a deal breaker.

Excellent product!
I was concerned at the cost but after using the brush to wash our Yukon and Q5 (both Black), my concern vanished. Much, much better than synthetic "soft" brushes. Holds a ton of soapy water, very gentle on the surface and the flexibility of the bristles allows cleaning in all the nooks and crannies. I should have purchased one much sooner.

Great brush
I used the brush to wash both our vehicles yesterday and it worked great. So far, I think it is worth the price.
ProsIt doesn't drag all the dirt along with it.
