RUPES DA Fine Polishing Compound - 250 ml.

Excellent cutting performance power!

RUPES D-A FINE provides noticeable cutting performance with impressive finishing capability. RUPES D-A FINE features a special formula designed to work with different types of polishers. RUPES D-A FINE delivers a high level of defect removal compared to most polishing compounds, while still leaving a high-quality finish behind. Plus, RUPES D-A FINE wipe off is easy!

There is a fine line between coarse… and well… fine. There is a time and place for both, but when your surface is more delicate, yet still in need of defect removal, that is when you need that fine option. You need something strong enough to remove mild defects, but also something that won’t cause even more defects. You need RUPES D-A FINE.

RUPES D-A FINE is the source you need for excellent cutting performance. The proprietary formula is made in-house, in Italy, by RUPES , to bring you a micro-abrasive technology that enhances finishing ability. RUPES D-A FINE delivers a higher than normal defect removal as compared to traditional fine polishing compounds. In additional to its defect removal, RUPES D-A FINE will provide an incredibly high finish quality.

Can’t forget that RUPES D-A FINE is easy-to-use. With the easy wipe off ability, you will have less chance of towel marks on softer paints the more delicate surfaces. A wipe off so simple, you’d think it was formulated for final finishing after a coarse cutting compound. Making it even easier to use is the RUPES color-coordinated pad system. Just match the cap to pad, it’s as simple as that. RUPES D-A FINE is best used with the RUPES yellow foam, wool or microfiber pads, along with, large stroke orbital polishers and gear driven orbital polishers. Bonus, RUPES D-A FINE is body shop safe and good to go on clear coat, single stage paint, gelcoat, varnish and more.

DIRECTIONS:
-Shake the bottle well before use.
-Select pad type based on desired level of defect removal and finish quality.
-Prime pad by applying D-A FINE to the face of the pad.
-Work the product in a section 6x the size of the polishing pad being used, applying light to moderate pressure.
-Wipe away residue with a clean, soft microfiber cloth and inspect the surface for results.

Hoping it would be better.
Overall DA Fine produced nice results. Tested with both DA yellow foam and yellow wool pads on both Flex XCE forced rotation and Flex XFE free-spinning polishers.

Not much cut. If you need any correction at all you'll need to step up to a medium or heavy cutting compound. Unless perhaps you are working on very soft paint. Overall finish was nice though even though correction was very limited. Hard to imagine where you'd need to reach for UNO pure. This is a pretty fine polish itself.

Very little dust, but not the same as many products that produce zero dust. But very easy to clean up whatever little dust it produced. Biggest issue for me is that wipe off is a pain. I usually like to finish polishing an entire panel like a door or a hood and then wipe off the product at the end of the entire panel. Well this stuff is a bear to wipe off if you do not wipe off after each section. Stopping to wipe off after each section just adds more time to the detail and that's the opposite thing that I want.

I will not be purchasing again as there are better products that I have used.
ProsGreat finish.
ConsNot much cut. Need to wipe off immediately after each section. Little bit of dust.

Right off the bat this polish reminds me of Meguiar's M205, which makes it awesome immediately. I would recommend to a friend if I thought yhey could use it

Like M205 it can create hard to remove deposits around the perimeter of the work area.

Very smooth buffing feel, and easy wipe off from the work area. Good defect removal, ok finish.

Overall I believe the previous fine cut polish from Rupes, Keramik delivered a much better finish.

I preferred the previous line of polishes, with the exception of Diamond. Pure is a true upgrade in every way, but not with the rest of the line. Zephir, Quarz, and Keramik were a better line up pure and simple.

Very disappointing to see the changes since the American team was added. Great people, but they have a very specific, narrow view of how things should function, and took a unique line of polishing products, and made them ordinary, mundane, and less effective.

The bottles, while they look good, are not good at dispensing product, especially the caps.

If the top brass at Rupes is reading this, go back to the previous offerings of original microfiber pads, Zephir, Quarz, Keramik, add Pure, and bring back the foam pads Marco designed. It was superior.
ProsGood defect removal
ConsNot Keramik
