Nanoskin Autoscrub Fine Foam Pad – 6 inch

Remove surface contaminants – with your polisher!

The Nanoskin Autoscrub System is a fast, effective way to remove above surface paint contaminants with your dual action polisher.  The Nanoskin Autoscrub System utilizes advanced rubber polymer technology to safely remove above surface paint contaminants like paint overspray and rail dust.  This unique material is becoming widely used in the car care industry for paint decontamination, but Nanoskin has pioneered the machine application of this technology with the Autoscrub System.

Only use an approved lubricant with the Nanoskin Autoscrub System. Nanoskin Glide and Shock both work well
Use the Autoscrub System with an approved lubricant, like Nanoskin Shock or Glide. Spray the face of the pad and the actual panel that you're going to be working on. Only work on one panel at a time.
Spray a liberal amount of lubricant over the area that you're going to work with the Autoscrub system
Set the polisher on a low speed setting and move the polisher back and forth and then side to side. Do NOT apply any pressure to the polisher. Inspect the paint often using your hand placed in a plastic baggy. When the paint feels smooth, wipe off the lubricant and move on to the next section.

Most professional detailers and car care enthusiasts agree that claying is the most tedious step in detailing.  It is messy, time consuming, and you don’t always achieve the smooth finish that you desire.  Plus, if you drop a clay bar on the ground, you must discard it or you risk the chance of scratching or marring the finish.  The Nanoskin Autoscrub System replaces detailing clay and the hassle that goes along with it by utilizing a machine-applied disk laminated with a high-tech rubber polymer face that effortlessly removes paint contaminants leaving you with a smooth finish that’s ready for polishing.

Like any other profession, time is money when it comes to production detailing.  The sooner you finish a vehicle, the sooner you can get started on another one.  The Nanoskin Autoscrub System practically eliminates paint decontamination which is one of the most time consuming, labor intensive steps.  By utilizing the power of your dual action polisher, the Nanoskin Autoscrub System removes all types of paint contaminants including rail dust, paint over spray, industrial fall out, bugs and even tar.  What’s more, it can even be used on glass, chrome, and exterior trim.

The Nanoskin Autoscrub System is so easy to use anyone can do it!  Just because this system was designed for the professional doesn’t mean the beginner can’t take advantage of the many benefits it has to offer.  Simply use an approved lubricant, like Nanoskin Glide or Nanoskin Shock.  Spray a liberal amount on the surface and turn the polisher on with the Autoscrub System attached.  Make a few passes over each area and then inspect your work.   If you accidentally drop the Autoscrub System on the ground, simply rinse it off with water.

The Nanoskin Autoscrub System revolutionized paint decontamination and you’ll quickly appreciate its ease of use every time you use it.

Note:  This is the FINE GRADE version of the Autoscrub System.  It is designed for vehicles with light to moderate contaminants.  To achieve flawless paint when you’re finished using the Autoscrub System, we recommend following up with a fine polish like Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish and a polishing pad on your dual action polisher.

Nanoskin, where have you been all my life?
At the ripe old age of 47, and having used compound polish as a first step on single stage paint, back in the "good old days," I'm always a bit skeptical of any of these "new fangled" products. Waterless wash? Bah! A pad in place of clay? Humbug! Witchery! This may be the most impressive product I've ever used. My mother, in a futile attempt to drive me crazy, washes her car approximately every three years whether it needs it or not. It's a cream colored Town Car, and along the hood ridges and other places, there was a build up of tree sap and other contaminants that simply wouldn't wash away. I tried my trusty detailing clay, and it got a fair amount off, but there was still some left. I had purchased this pad at the recommendation of a friend and I am glad I did. I hooked this to my PC, sprayed some Glide lubricant, and it made easy work of it. I was so shocked, I forgot to take pictures. This combined with the Nanoskin Speedy Prep sponges, was all I needed to safely decontaminate the paint to clean perfection. This is how I will clay from now on. If you have any reservations, just try Nanoskin. You'll be blown away.
ProsFast. More efficient than clay. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Just amazing.

Beat a Clay Bar!
This product, though expensive, is worth it in the long run. This allows you to get the job done much faster than a traditional clay bar when used with a DA polisher. Also, the slickness of the paint is better in my opinion than with a traditional clay bar.
ProsEasy to use, allows for quick use versus traditional clay bar, makes the paint so slick it feels soft, provides a great base to achieve a spectacular wet shine when used before correction and sealing. If you drop it just rinse it off and keep going unlike a clay bar that if dropped is money lost.
ConsHard to get into tight/small spaces. Though it works great you need to get either the towel or the hand bar to get into smaller spaces which means spending more money. I recommend keeping the traditional clay bar for the small/tight spaces and using the DA attachment to do all the big panels.

Hard to use
The nano skin does what it's suppose to and save time . I only used it in a small area which it left very smooth but it's a little hard to get use to it. The paint surface has to be very well lube and the nano skin as well. On my buffer I had to use about 5000 rpm and not put any pressure on it. The pad does need to be broken in first before the first use.

Just Get It.
Used this on a tired and well-worn daily driver and was amazed at how fast you can work through a car. Get the gallon of Glide with the pad(s). 7:1 makes it last a while. Clay will now be reserved for small stuff only.
