3 1/4 Inch Thin Foamed Wool Pad (2-Pack)

Lake Country Thin Foamed Wool Pads combine the proven durability and immense cut of the thicker style Lake Country Foamed Wool Pads in a new, 1/4 inch thickness. This makes the Thin Foamed Wool Pads a better choice for conventional dual action polishers that feature a free-floating spindle bearing assembly, like the Porter Cable 7424xp, Meguiars G110v2, Griot’s Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital DA and the Shurhold Dual Action Polisher. If your goal is to remove heavy swirls and water spots, Lake Country Thin Foamed Wool Pads are for you!

The secret to the superb cutting and finishing ability of the Thin Foamed Wool Pads is a fusion of foam and wool known as nanofoam. Nanofoam particles encapsulate the base of the wool fibers to help prevent caking and matting. This enables Lake Country Thin Foamed Wool Pads to cut like a wool pad but finish like a foam pad, giving you the benefits of both a foam and a wool pad – in one!

Very effective for headlight correction
I use the LC Thin Foamed Wool pads on a 3" backing plate on my PC7424XP polisher with McKees 37 All In One Headlight Restoring Polish. The combination is extremely effective at restoring all but the most neglected headlights. For headlights that are in REALLY bad condition, wet sanding with 3000 then 2000 may be required, and then follow up with the LC Thin Foamed Wool and McKees headlight polish. You will be amazed at the difference you can make to lifeless headlights in less than 20 minutes!
Pros- Immense amount of cut on faded, dulled headlights - Finishes very nicely when working polish until it diminished - Long lasting pads. One pad could conceivably last 50+ headlight restorations (remember to clean you pads after use to extend their life/effectiveness)
Cons- Not cheap, but a strong case for getting what you pay for.
