Fantastic Pad
Super pleased with the performance of this pad. Paired with Jescar correcting compound on Rupes mark III. Purchased this after significant “dusting” with the same compound and typed blue foam. Pleased with the balance and performance
ProsBalanced - no weird vibrations on Rupes Mark III Less Dusting when compared to Rupes blue foam pad.

After doing much research, lake country pads are my go to. It was stated in a video that the blue pads can used for mutilple purposes. I paired it with jescar correcting compound for heavy swirls. Works like a charm. Paired one with Sonax cut and finish and WOW! Blew my mind! Results are awesome for a one step. Highly recommend the combinations stated. I ordered two but will soon order more.
ProsMultiple purpose. For cutting, polishing, one step application.

Better than Rupes yellow pads
I am new to paint correction so take this for what its worth.

My first attempt was with a Rupes LHR15II, Rupes yellow pad and Keramic. The first two sections went great, then the pad got soft and the pad edge was lifting up. It made it 3/4 of the way through the vehicle before the pad let go.

I did an embarrassing amount of research before starting (even before purchasing the 15II and pads/polish) and was following the recommendation to the "T". (proper pressure, right amount of product, priming, cleaning pad after every section with compresse air etc.)

Of course everyone I asked said it was user error, but I dissagree and now that I tried the Lake Country pads and instantly have no more problems it reinforces my opinion. I have all of the pads from their HDO line including the heavy cut microfiber and all of them have been excellent! They stay perfectly flat on the paint and work great. None of the have come apart yet either after several uses.

Maybe I just got a couple bad Rupes pads, because I really haven't read much bad about them. However, given how well the Lake Country pads work for me I won't go back.

Still using the Rupes 15II (great machine!) and polishes/compounds, but the Lake Country pads are what I will most likely use going forward.

By the way the machine is just as smooth with the Lake Country pads as it was with the Rupes pads so they did a great job getting the weight right too.

Thanks to Autogeek for carrying such a comprehensive selection of products!

What initially sold me on these pads was the dual density foams. Because while I was struggling with the yellow Rupes pads, I was thinking to myself if only there was a stiffer layer of foam on the top to hold the pads shape better. Obviously I was not the first person to have this idea because Lake Country already makes that exact product.

I highly recommend the HDO pads by Lake Country Manufacturing.

Great Alternative for Rupes 15ES
As stated in the title. This pad works very well as an alternative to the Rupes pads and I will say that it is less product/speed/pressure related. It also dissipates the heat well and I have not had one come apart yet. Cannot say that about the Rupes pads. LC has won my business.
ProsBest pad for long throw machines

The Perfect Cutting Pad
Working with a Rupes 15... not only works better than other pads (including Rupes) but it also stays together if used/cleaned properly. Long throw polishers definitely get the pads hotter than the traditional random orbitals. Much less product amount/polisher speed/pressure dependent. This is the pad for the weekend warrior because it takes much of the guess work out of using a long throw polisher with professional results.
