The Griot's Garage Vented Backing Plate is a performance upgrade to your corded 6" Random Orbital and cordless 5" Lithium-Ion Random Orbital. It's a win-win as the exclusive heat management system with vertical and horizontal cooling ports delivers smoother operation, longer pad life, and better results. Griot's Garage Vented Backing Plate features firm yet flexible high-density urethane foam with chamfered edges for flexibility and improved contouring over and around body panels. Griot's Garage Vented Backing Plate's center recess further reduces heat transfer. The Velcro® brand Micro-Hook attachment is optimized to create the perfect balance between strong pad engagement and easy disengagement. Griot's Garage Vented Backing Plate also has rotational speed markings for optimum pad speed control.
Fits Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbitals (part no. 10750, 10765, or 10813), the G9 (part no. 10901), and random orbital/dual-action tools that accept a 5/16" - 24 threaded shaft.
Is not compatible with the four-screw mounting system on the original Griot's Garage Random Orbital (part no. 10925).
