The RUPES Nano 2 is a new release, currently available as a bare tool only, intended for existing owners of the first-generation Nano who want an additional polisher body. This particular offering does not include essential accessories like batteries, backing plates, or other components, and should only be ordered if you already possess a Nano 2 kit with the necessary accessories. The good news is that the batteries, charger, and corded power adapter from the original Nano will work with the new Nano 2.
Key differences in this new model include that the Nano 2 is only offered as a "long neck" version, unlike the original, and it introduces a new magnetic quick disconnect system for the movement adapters, meaning first-generation adapters are incompatible. RUPES USA has also announced plans to offer a separate 3" backing plate for the Nano 2 in the future, although it is not currently available or included in any kit.
