Why use Gtechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating?
G5 Water Repellent Coating is a protective coating for your perspex and glass surfaces. Whether dealing with automotive glass or marine windows, it creates a highly hydrophobic surface. G5 keeps water, dirt, and contaminants like bugs and bird droppings from bonding to microscopic pores on these surfaces, making cleaning easier and enhancing visibility by repelling water even at low speeds.
While less durable than our G1 ClearVision Smart Glass, G5 provides maximum water repellency, offering excellent protection in both personal and commercial applications. Its unique formulation ensures your surfaces stay cleaner longer, making it a great hydrophobic windshield coating.
Wear protective gloves and work in a well ventilated area. Do not apply in direct sunlight.
- Clean with a glass cleaner, polish, and do a final clean prior to application
- Apply a small amount of G5 to an applicator or a microfiber cloth, in a circular motion covering all of the glass
- Leave the coating to cure for between 10 and 15 minutes at room temperature
- Remove residue from the coated surface with a polishing cloth
- Avoid contact between water and the coated surface for at least two hours following application
Store in a cool, dry place. Use within 12 months of opening.
