Restore boats and RVs to like new condition!

3M Marine Rubbing Compound removes the toughest oxidation from marine gelcoat. This intense gelcoat compound removes heavy oxidation and scratches to restore optimum color and shine to boats and gelcoated RVs. Depend on 3M Marine Rubbing Compound to cut through the chalk and bring back a fantastic finish.

3M Marine Rubbing Compound eliminates chalky gelcoat oxidation when other polishes fail. Gelcoat is used on boats and recreational vehicles because it is extremely tough, which also means it can be tough to polish. 3M Marine Rubbing Compound is designed specifically for polishing gelcoat. It cuts fast and removes the chalky, white residue to uncover a smoother, shinier finish.

3M Marine Rubbing Compound stays wet until the job is done. The compound is easier to spread and dusts less, resulting in less clean-up. For the best results, use a polisher to apply 3M Marine Rubbing Compound. The FLEX XC3401 VRG Orbital Polisher will spread the compound quickly and evenly while helping to remove heavy oxidation. Use a light cutting pad. Buff the surface with a Cobra All Purpose Microfiber Towel. 3M Marine Rubbing Compound can also be applied by hand.

3M Marine Rubbing Compound contains no wax and leaves minimal compounding swirls. When you have finished compounding, use 3M Marine Finesse-It II Glaze to remove any light compounding swirls and restore maximum gloss. Then apply a coat of 3M Marine Cleaner Wax.

3M Marine Rubbing Compound is the professional choice for gelcoat restoration. Restore your boat or RV to like-new condition!

Worked Well on My PWCs
I used this project with a 3" orbital buffer and a wool pad to buff out gelcoat on two eleven year old PWCs. I had tried some Griot's #1 polish, but it had not been aggressive enough to get the job done. I then used 3M Marine Finesse-It II Glaze on an orange pad, and finished with 3M Marine Ultra Performance Paste Wax. Everything turned out great, and someone asked me if I had had them repainted.
ConsYellow/orange color temporarily stains white gelcoat. It does come out in polishing however.
best one for gelcoat oxidation
I use this stuff on my boat all the time. Its the only one that really cuts through any kind of oxidation. I've tried many other ones from meguiars, interlux, west marine, etc... none of them work like 3m rubbing compound. Each year i detail my boat, and this si what i use usually with finesse it II by 3m or some other finer polish. It is very abrasive so use it carefully, but for marine uses and gelcoats, I dont know anyone who doesn't use it. Oh, it also seems to turn your gelcoat slightly brown at first after you wipe it off, but that goes away once it dries 100% and you wipe it off again.
