Meguiars Mirror Glaze #20 Polymer Sealant

Professional protection, amateur pricing!

The experts at Meguiar’s have spent the past 100 years perfecting formulas and rooting out better compound combinations in order to deliver the ultimate finish to each and every vehicle their products touch. They’ve also built a reputation as an honest company, with reasonable pricing, striving to provide the same top-notch products to the everyday user that they distribute to the pros. And one of the reasons (although there are too many to accurately account) that Meguiar’s has enjoyed such longevity in the surface care industry is the sheer durability of their product line. Meguiar’s #20 Polymer Sealant stands in that same tradition--it stands the rigors of time.

Car dealers generally charge a pretty penny for a poly sealant--upwards of $300 in most shops. The pros at Meguiar’s decided to level the playing field and offer their poly sealant (#20)--the same #20 Polymer Sealant the professional shops use--to the everyday user, at a fraction of the cost!

And Meguiar’s makes it so easy to apply #20 Polymer Sealant. It’s simple really... anyone can achieve stunning results with relatively little effort. You can apply #20 by hand or orbital polisher, just be certain to use on a cool surface and away from direct sun exposure. Allow to dry to a haze and gently buff to a remarkable shine by hand or orbital polisher. It’s so easy it’s actually fun!

The best part is that the protection lasts for over six months! Professionals prefer #20 Polymer Sealant because it contains a gentle cleanser that pulls up residual dirt and contaminants as it polishes and protects. When you’re detailing for a living, anything that saves steps without sacrificing a brilliant finish is coveted. Use the same poly sealant the pros charge top dollar for--Meguiar’s #20 Polymer Sealant!

Love it
I had a detail shop in the 70's and 80's. I used a Polymer Sealant product than, although Simoniz was the largest part of my income, the Poly product was my favorite. Use on newer vehicles only, does not have cleaners. It is incredibly easy to apply and remove. Of course it leaves a super shine, but the big deal form me is the the smoothness of the painted surface to the touch, it just feels durable. I will be very interested to see how long the product last, (the reason for the 4 stars, not 5) if it is like my old polymer sealant product it should wear like iron, but only time will tell.

Same good ole stuff
Have used this for many years and my understanding is that contains the same product as used by the new car places which it has done for me for many years. Easy to apply and takes only about an hour for the entire car while removing debris, bugs, and tar.

My go to sealant
This product is a perfect choice and my go to product for customer who want long term protection. Whether using it as a final sealant on a full polish out or just on a wash/clay wax job it is a great choice. Ive been using it quite a a while now and the long term protection it offers is a great feature...along with the easy removal and the fact it smells like bananas lol. I have one customer who i first started working for over a year ago. Did a pass with D151 and sealed up with #20..and the paint couldn't have felt slicker. We did a monthly wash for her and after 6 months it still felt just as slick and bugs/dirt washed off just as easily. We stripped it off and reapplied just because that is our procedure for customers who have us do a monthly wash...but if you went by how it FELT and how the water LOOKED all beaded up...it still seemed to be going strong. Applying with a DA is super simple. I find allowing it to cure a little bit after doing the whole car allows for a nice easy wipe off. I usually do the whole car, then do little touch up things like tires/rims and windows and then remove it...and it wipes off like nothing is ever there. Ive actually had to check panels by feeling them after removing the sealant to make sure i didn't miss it with the DA because it didn't feel like i was removing any residue....it comes off that easy. Only reason i give it 4 stars is i wish i had a little more pop to it. It absolutely adds gloss but not as much as something like Wolfgang DGPS. But in no way is it enough to turn me from #20 as my go to sealant thus far. If you haven't tried it...give it a go especially if you're in a high sun area like me in Az, and id assume it would work great as a winterizing sealant for those in the cold.

great cleaner sealant
this works great to lightly clean paint while adding nice shine and very good durability providing you use a gentle wash soap.good price for it, goes on easy and thin wipes off very easy and leaves a nice gloss behind. i let cure overnight and apply a nice coat of carnauba wax on top and really looks great..

Can't go wrong here
I've been using #20 for years. I'm the weekend amateur detailer, and #20 has always been my "go to" sealant. This product is VERY forgiving, so if you over apply you're not going to run into problems with removal. Has a minor "cut" to out, so there is some minimal correction properties. Product gives a super shiny "wet" look, so keep that in mind if you're going more for depth in color. Lasts very, very long (synthetic!!) and is a great one step product. I use this on my (and my wife's) daily driver. Awesome shine, great protection, ease of on/off. What else could you want?

Beautiful sparkle
I put this product on a clayed 2000 Cadillac Deville painted Pearl Silver and achieved an awesome reflective shine! I had been using Dry Wash 'n Guard for years but found this product easier to use and produced a 50% better look. I am going to try #21 as well.
