"Gloss" on the label is misleading
September 24, 2014
Tried the product after a 1st wash. It's not a new car but a 2005 Jaguar XJ VDP. The prior owners stepped up to a new SUV before having to fork out money on new tires. In short, they are worn. Despite this, the product gave the tires a fresh, "newer" look without being overly slick or shiny. In my younger days, I probably would have been impressed with and preferred the "wet" look. I've since changed my view on that. Maybe a second application will provided a more eye catching finish if that's what you're looking for. Haven't tried it to know but I'm quite happy with one coat.
To be honest, I really bought the product based on their claim that it conditions the rubber. I've seen examples of tires with sidewall cracks due to age, kinda scary. Hopefully, I'm not a sucker for the marketing hype.
Pros:Easy to use
Provides newer tire look without being overly glossy
Decent durability even after a few touch-up washes
Cons:Snap cap would not stay shut after first use, disappointing.
