Does the job on light swirls.
May 4, 2015
The wife had her new vehicle washed by someone who didn't have any regard for sand or grit in their wash mitt. In the sun it look terrible. Using a random orbit polisher and the recommended foam pad, SSR1 removed the swirls. Only a few deeper scratches remained along with some surface pitting from bugs. A heavier compound will be required to polish out that damage. The only negative remark I have is that once the pad had been used for a while, 1/4 of the SUV, it began to get sticky due to the polish gumming up the pad. I would have to stop and wash it out use a clean pad. Towards the end I kept a squeeze bottle of clean water handy and gave the pad a few squirts to get through the standard polish sequence.
Pros:Does the job, not aggressive at all to the paint, for light imperfections.
Cons:As the pad gets saturated, it tends to dry out prematurely.
