Headlight lens Covers
October 30, 2007
I was searching around for a product to remove the yellow haze and fog on the exterior of my headlight lens covers of my 2000 Dodge pickup. Most of the products out there are expensive at around $30, and I wasn't to happy about paying that price only to find out the product didn't work. I was in the auto parts store and found Mother's Plastic Polish, and figured for about $6 it was worth the try. It worked marvelously well on the top half of my lens covers, with almost no rubbing it removed all of yellowing and fog haze and restored my lens covers to looking basically new. I will note that I had to rub off the old protective film that remained on the bottom half of my lens covers, using #0000 steel wool, and then followed up with Mothers which removed all of the fine scratches and polished the plastic back to new. After a month my lens covers still look like new. This product really does work well.
