Meguiars Mirror Glaze #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner / Conditioner
The pros choice for clean and protected vinyl and rubber surfaces!

1901. What a year! Daimler builds the first Mercedes, the first Nobel Prize is awarded, Walt Disney is born, and Frank Meguiar Jr., founding father of Meguiar’s, makes his first surface-enhancement product. Of course, it snowballed from there. A year of lasting traditions….

Meguiar’s #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner is a three-ply product. Cleans. Revives color. Provides UV Protection. One simple step to total rubber and vinyl care? #40 couldn’t be easier, more thorough, or more competent! A complex combination of cleaners and nutrients designed to get dirt and impurities safely out of the way, while administering a moisturizing, protective coat that lasts for weeks. You can use it on interior and exterior surfaces with confidence. You’ll never see a yellow film or brownish haze on your vinyl or rubber surfaces when you stick with Meguiar’s #40. It works to restore the original color back to the material... and the finish is nothing short of stunning. No grease here! Just a wonderfully rich, high-class luster.

I’d suggest using an applicator pad to apply Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Protectant to interior and exterior surfaces. Mist the product onto your applicator. Take care to wipe it neatly onto your dash, door panels, vinyl tops, interiors, tires, rubber trim and even under the hood. On contact, #40 goes to work, lifting away dirt and dust, revving up the color, and protecting against fading, cracking and drying from UV over-exposure.

UV absorbers in the formula extend the life of your vinyl and rubber by taking on the brunt of the sun’s ferocity. It penetrates the surface, providing essential conditioners to keep things hydrated and looking good. Many similar, less sophisticated protectants give a cold, synthetic shine—even to the point of a glare. Not #40. This product leaves a nice satiny glow that enhances any vehicle. If you prefer a matte finish, allow Vinyl & Rubber Protectant to penetrate then wipe down with a clean towel. Clean, protected surfaces without the shine!

One bottle, one low price, one step to complete vinyl and rubber care!

Great Stuff!
August 14, 2014
I found my new go to rubber and plastic cleaner and conditioner. It does an excellent job on the interior and the exterior. Its not oily but gives the dash a great shine. It does a great job on the exterior too. I like using it on my tires and the black plastic on my bumpers. Its worth the higher cost to have this quality product. I really prefer mother's products over most others.
Pros:
Perfect shine Not oily and greasy A little goes a long way Its Meguiar's
Cons:
Have to order it but the wait really isn't a big deal. Doesn't take away from the quality of the product but it would be nice to be able to go to the local auto parts store.

First started using this Meguiars #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner / Conditioner many years ago. It cleans very well and provides a nice layer of quality protection. Creates a nice natural satin finish, unlike many inferior products which leaves your dash looking oily.
Pros:
goes on nice does not leave a film great protection great satin finish
Cons:
none

Deep Black - Great !!!!
April 10, 2011
I used it on tires, trims and under the food . It is a great product very easy to work with. The tires are getting that deep black look, not too glossy or wet but it last for long time.

We use this product at work all the time, and it is super easy to use, and instead of leaving a super greasy surface, this stuff makes it super smooth and awesome!

With this product, application is almost too simple. I have not yet found a vinyl surface that this product does not work well with. Well worth the price

Love this Stuff

My title says it all. This is my favorite vinyl & rubber cleaner. It is not too glossy and it can be wiped of early to lower the shine even more. I have not used it on my dash yet as I am still using up other products first.

Great Product!
June 29, 2009
I've eagerly awaited the arrival of this product in the mail, but I didn't want to get my hopes up over whether or not it was going to be a good product. Well it's here and it is exactly what I hoped it would be. I used to have use interior detailers (too weak) and elbow grease, followed by super slippery and shiny Mother's protectant. I tested #40 on an old filthy Nissan that's just been sitting for six years, with a terry cloth foam applicator. I was surprised at how easily it desolved and lifted off even old thick dirt without spreading it around, and the finish was just about perfect. I'm now gonna order the gallon sized refill of this excellent product. TIP: For really dirty spots or heavily textured panels, just switch to something with longer fibers, like a microfiber towel.

Best bang for you buck

This Is your best best for a professional looking detail. It's the only thing I use for the dash and door panels in my corvette. It won't leave a greasy mess and smells ok. Highly recommend using an applicator pad to apply. Microfiber will absorb it when putting it on.

Best Protectant Out there!!!
February 4, 2009
This is hands down the best shine and the longest lasting shine of ANY protectant I've ever used or come across. Plus, the new car scent it leaves behind makes it that much better. I highly recommened this to anyone who might instead want the cheaper ArmorAll alternatives.

A great cleaner and protectant. It is the product that I grab to clean a dirty dash. Not slippery when dry either leaving nice protection. A great product!

#40 Rocks
March 18, 2006
I have been using the Meg's #40 for about 8 years now and i had originally gotten it in the Boat form and later learned that the #40 is the same product just in a different package for the Marine industry and was priced higher. I have used it both in my cars, trucks, and boat and i will not use anything else when it comes to the interior protection and cleaning of my interior. This product not only cleans great but leave a nice shimmering protective layer. Not to shiny but not a matte finish either. The interior of all my vehicle still look new thanks to #40. If you have deep down dirt use a stiff bristled brush to scrub the area after applying a liberal amount of the #40 and then wipe off with a MF or Terry Cloth Towel.
