Makita 9227C Rotary Polisher
A heavy duty Makita nylon bag and two wool pads are included with the polisher!

A powerful circular polisher that easily converts to a sander!

Sometimes a dual-action polisher just isn’t enough for really tough scratches and swirls. You need the cutting power of a serious circular polisher to penetrate the clear coat and smooth over rough edges to restore your paint to its original flawless finish. The Makita 9227C 7” Polisher does just that and converts to a powerful sander. You’re getting two great machines in one!

This polisher has a variable speed from 600 to 3000 rpm for super slow buffing to aggressive polishing. The electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load. The lock-on button allows you to use the Makita continuously at one speed. This button also allows you to use the machine as a sander on your wood projects.

Use the Makita 9227C to polish, compound, and restore all types of paint.

The 10 amp motor makes the Makita 9227C work tirelessly, no matter how often and aggressively you use it. The 6.5” Velcro backing plate accommodates 7” pads. The machine weighs only 6.6 pounds so you can work for extended periods without tiring your arms. The Makita 9227C features a large, comfortable handle and a convenient spindle lock in the polisher to make changing pads easy.

The Makita 9227C is a powerful circular polisher and should not be used by a novice detailer. The purpose of circular polishers is to remove layers of paint or clear coat down to the lowest point of the scratch until it is completely level with the surrounding surface. An inexperienced user can easily produce new swirls and burn the paint by holding the polisher in one place too long. This polisher is for experienced detailers or professionals.

The Makita 9227C is excellent for avid detailers who don’t trust their vehicle to anyone else. The variable speed control and powerful motor make this polisher easier to use than many circular polishers, but still very effective. In skilled hands, the Makita 9227C Polisher will eliminate scratches, swirls and blemishes to restore the smooth, uniform finish to your vehicle. The Makita 9227C 7” Polisher comes with a 7” blended polishing pad, a 7” wool compounding pad, and a nylon tool bag. An included hex wrench makes removing the back plate easy.

I placed a rather large order just before the fourth of July weekend. I got a shipping confirmation stating that I would get the products (a buffer, a brush, and various other things) in about 5 days. The products arrived on time as I expected in great condition. I was very satisfied with the products I ordered, the Makita buffer was very useful in removing some scratches I had on my hood from a wetsanding mistake. I will be happy to do business with Autogeek in the future.

Makita's the best
September 1, 2012
Been using this model for 12 years on my 45' boat. Broke the cord and had to use an Hatachi until replacment cord arrived. Made me appreciate the perfection of the Makita. Highly endoreced by many in the Chris Craft Commander Club

Best buffer on the market
July 30, 2012
Best buffer money can buy! No need to spend any more money than this. My first encounter with this buffer was a hand me down that was used in a shop that produced counter tops and was used to buff granite, corian, etc. ....needless to say it was beat on and abused for several years. after replacing the brushes and trigger that buffer lasted me a solid 3 aditional years of heavy use! i bought my replacement 2 years ago and it has been droped ,run over and used day in and day out and never skips a beat ..dont be fooled by the competitions claims this is hands down the best bang for the buck!

Makita Rocks!
April 20, 2012
As expected with any Makita power tool this thing is a beast. It made a 95 F250 with heavily oxidized paint, and I do mean heavy you couldn't see any reflections in it at all to a nearly perfect finish. I could read the writing on the machine through the reflection on the paint. Its brilliantly fast also.

These polishers are almost bullet proof.....I kill my polishers and they still keep right on ticking. I do many heavy compound jobs on trucks. They take a beating.

Makita one of the best
April 1, 2011
This polisher takes a licking and still keeps ticking. I polish for a living.....not for the fun of it. The cars I do DEMAND a SUPERIOR polisher. In SKILLED hands the polisher and its power PRODUCE RESULTS. I have been doing paint REJUVENATION SINCE 1969.....its either the Makita or the Hitachi. The Hitachi might be a sidgen nicer. Paintxpert. Best Polisher I've ever used
November 21, 2010
So far I have used this polisher to refinish my headlights and apply paint sealant to my car. I have found the polisher easy to handle with a 3 inch pad which I used to refinish my car's headlights. I also used a 7 inch pad to apply the paint sealant which turned out amazing. I have no reservations in recommending this great product.

Great for truckers
November 10, 2010
I bought this polisher to polish the aluminum/stainless on my Kenworth. It does a great job. When used with the correct cutting wheels and jewelers rouge it will cut thru the 30 years of corrosion and tarnish.

Makita 9227C
September 29, 2010
I replaced my huge, overweight Milwaukee Polisher/sander with this unit because the Milwaukee was to heavy, very costly and would not maintain amperage at slower speeds. Set it to 3-500 rpm and it would quickluy stop with any pressure applied. turn up the speed, and the thing would nearly burn through the paint with enormous torque. So, I actually did use it to remove the build up of 5 horrible paint jobs on my restoration with a scotchbrite wheel. Then I sold it for the much easier to use Makita unit. I never get burn-through because the speed remains very constant. It's more like a fine detail tool that never tires out. I can polish and paste wax a full size car in less than 6 hours with perfect results. Don't play around with the cheap toys or high speed die grinders that can ruin your paint. Get the right tool or just hand polish it!
