Cobra Clay Mitt

No more messy clay bars!

Cobra Clay Mitt uses the hi-tech, rubberized coating attached to one side of the mitt to remove gloss hindering contaminants to give you the best finish possible. With little to no effort tree sap, over-spray, tar, stubborn road grime, dirt, industrial fall-out, and so much more will be removed from your paint to fully prep your finish. Cobra Clay Mitt does not need to be re-kneaded, like traditional clay bars, and can be used again after dropping on the ground. Decontaminate your car easier than ever with the Cobra Clay Mitt.

Decontaminating your car is an essential step to having the gloss you’ve always wanted. Contaminants caused by everyday occurrences (tree sap, rail-dust), actually become embedded in your paint, hindering the gloss. This also prevents your polishes, sealants, and waxes from properly bonding with the paint, reducing their effectiveness.

Traditionally, we’ve always used clay bars to remove those contaminants, but it’s proved to be a bit of a mess. You’re always having to re-knead the clay so you can have a clean section, and if you drop the bar, forget it; you’ll have to toss it and buy another. Plus, you can use the Cobra Clay Mitt as part of a wash with a high-lubricity shampoo, or you can use it on it's own with a quick detailer acting as a lubricant.
Cobra Clay Mitt can be used with a car shampoo as part of a wash or alone with a lubricant!
Use Cobra Clay mitt with a car shampoo during a wash, or on it's own with a dedicate lubricant.

The Cobra Clay Mitt follows the next evolution of the clay bar. By using a synthetic, rubberized coating that mimics traditional clay bars, you save yourself the hassle that comes with traditional clay bars. The Cobra Clay Mitt fits right over your hand, just as a regular wash mitt would, giving the user an increased hold and lowering the chances of dropping it. But if you do drop it, don’t fear! You can simply rinse and get right back to work!

The Cobra Clay Mitt is strong enough to be considered a “medium grade” contaminant remover, but is also gentle enough on paint to be considered a “fine grade” as well. You won’t have to worry about having multiple different clays and clay mitts since Cobra Clay Mitt will do both jobs for you!

The Cobra Clay Mitt is made of soft microfiber on one side, with the rubberized coating on the other. The opening of the mitt is trimmed with a satin finish to ensure your paint is not marred or scratched while washing. Cobra Clay Mitt features a satin loop, allowing you to hang your mitt to dry.

Directions for use:
  1. Do not use Cobra Clay Mitt in direct sunlight, or on hot surfaces. Surface should be cool to the touch.
  2. Using a high lubricity shampoo, like Wolfgang Auto Bathe, make your water and shampoo mix in a 5 gallon bucket. Alternatively, you can also use a quick detailer or dedicated clay lubricant and use the Cobra Clay Mitt on it's own.
  3. After rinsing the surface about to be washed with water (to remove any surface dirt and dust) simply rub the Cobra Clay Mitt over the surface of the panel using light pressure. Start on the roof of the car and work your way down, spreading the suds as you go.
  4. When washing is complete, rinse with water and dry car using a Cobra Guzzler Waffle Weave Drying Towel or the Blackfire Car Dryer.
Tech Tip: For the perfect finish, do a follow-up polish the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and a polishing pad on your dual action polisher to intensify the shine.

Cobra Clay Mitt measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches and fit securely over one hand.

Cobra Clay Mitt
This is a great tool. It makes coating your paint easy. If you drop it, no big deal, wash it off and back to work. Love it! Worth every penny. You can use it to wash your car. I wouldn't use it every time, but maybe 2-3 times a year.
ProsEase of use,

Good substitute for the real clay bar
Works almost as well as actual clay.. no kneading required, and if you drop it,no need t throw it away. It's also cleanable with the wonderful B'fire cleaner, so it will likely last forever..

Too sticky
I have used clay mitts before and since, but I didn't like this one. The reason is simple: it's too sticky. Everything it comes in contact with sticks to it-hair, debris, sand, etc.-and that is without dropping it! I thought I could wash it clean, in other words when it came into contact with cool water, it would release the items stuck to it, but it would never come completely clean. I did learn this: when squeezing the extra water out of it after use, make sure not to fold the sticky part on itself, or your'e in for a real problem. The sticky problem was made worse because there was no plastic case for it, i.e., there wasn't an easy way to make sure stuff didn't stick to it between uses. I have since purchased the Speed Master Clay Mitt, and have found it to be superior. And it came with a protective case.
ProsSuper sticky.
