Optimum Opti-Eraser – Fine Grade
Opti-Eraser – the evolution of the clay bar!

Optimum Opti-Eraser is a high-tech foam block laminated with an advanced acrylic resin that safely and effortlessly removes gloss-hindering contaminants from your vehicle’s painted surfaces. Unlike a traditional clay bar which requires constant re-kneading and must be used with extreme care (don’t drop it!), the Opti-Eraser requires far less maintenance and if you accidentally drop it on the ground, simply rinse it off with warm water. The Optimum Opti-Eraser can only be described as the evolution of the clay bar!

Optimum Polymer Technologies is an innovator in the car care industry and Opti-Eraser is the quintessential example of the saying “good things take time.” Dr. David Ghodoussi, Optimum’s founder and chemist, is an advocate of doing it right the first time and his latest creation, Opti-Eraser, will surely impress you with its ability to remove above-surface contaminants without scratching or marring your vehicle’s delicate paintwork.

If you’ve spent any time reading our vast array of detailing how-to guides, you’re well aware that shiny paint comes from smooth paint. Detailing clay has been around for about twenty years and while it works to remove gloss-hindering above-surface contaminants like rail dust, paint overspray, bugs, tar, and industrial fallout, it can be messy and if you accidentally drop it on the ground, you might as well pick up the phone and order another bar. Optimum Polymer Technologies said enough was enough and developed the Opti-Eraser – an evolution of the clay bar.

The Optimum Opti-Eraser is a dense foam block that’s laminated with an advanced acrylic resin on the two largest sides. This high-tech resin essentially shaves off above-surface contaminants that would otherwise interfere with the proper bonding of your wax, sealant or coating. After using the Optimum Opti-Eraser, your vehicle’s paint will be as smooth as glass and ready for polishing or waxing. The fine grade Opti-Eraser is ideal for vehicle’s that are new or well maintained.

Optimum Opti-Eraser allows you to spend more time performing the enjoyable aspects of car care, like dressing your tires with Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel or applying a coat of Optimum Car Wax.

Directions:
  1. Do not work on hot panels in direct sunlight.
  2. Dilute Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine to the recommended clay lubricant ratio.
  3. Working one panel at a time, spray a liberal amount of lubricant onto the area and without using any pressure, rub the Opti-Eraser back and forth until it glides freely. It’s perfectly normal to feeling it grabbing at first.
  4. When the Opti-Eraser moves across the surface without any effort, remove excess lubricant with a soft microfiber towel and move on to next panel.
Do not store wet or damp.

Note: This is the light/fine grade version of the Opti-Eraser. If your vehicle is old or heavily contaminated, we would recommend using the heavy/aggressive grade version of Opti-Eraser. For best results, follow with Optimum Finish Polish to maximize gloss and clarity before applying your wax, sealant or coating.
