The German Wheel Restoration Kit is a four-part refinishing kit for bare metal wheels. Start with bare metal and create a durable wheel finish that replicates the silver color used by major European auto makers, like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen. The German Wheel Restoration Kit is comprised of products by two German companies, 1Z Einszett and Wurth. Both companies are specialists in the area of European car care. That's why you can trust the authentic look of the wheel finish created by the German Wheel Restoration Kit.
Note: This kit is intended to refinish bare metal wheels. Do not use the primer included in this kit on coated wheels. If you wish to touch up scuffed wheels, use the kit without the primer, or see our German Wheel Scuff Repair Kit.

17 oz. Wurth Clean-Solve
Wurth Clean-Solve is a fast acting cleaner and solvent that will not leave a film residue of any kind. This cleaner will quickly remove wax, tar, gum, grease, paint overspray, adhesive, oil, and silicone. Clean-Solve removes anything that might interfere with the bonding of the primer or paint to the wheel.
10.2 oz. 1Z Einszett Spray Paint Primer Haft-Grund
1Z Einszett Spray Paint Primer Haft-Grund is a fast-drying, self-etching primer and filler with special bonding agent for application before painting. This lead- and cadmium-free primer is suitable for synthetic resin, acrylic and nitro combi paints. Apply on bare metal or filler only. Once you've cleaned the wheel thoroughly with Clean-Solve, apply this primer to prepare the surface for paint.
13.5 oz. 1Z Einszett Silver Wheel Spray Paint
1Z Einszett Silver Spray Wheel Paint is an acrylic lacquer resin paint that contains high-quality paint components tested to provide outstanding coverage and durable protection against corrosion, rock chips and road salt. The silver paint color matches original European car and motorcycle standard wheels by manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, SEAT and VW. 1Z Einszett Silver Spray Wheel Paint also restores silver body components and automotive trim. Spray multiple thin coats of paint for the best coverage.
13.5 oz. Wurth High Gloss Clear Lacquer
Wurth High Gloss Clear Lacquer is formulated to match the original factory luster of your wheels. It is permanent lacquer paint, not a dressing. After you have repainted your wheels and allowed them to completely dry, spray Wurth High Gloss Clear Lacquer in light, sweeping strokes over the entire wheel face. Apply two or three coats for the best protection of your silver paint and the most attractive shine.
2 Wolfgang Finger Pockets
Wolfgang Finger Pockets are the easiest way to clean or polish tight places. These foam pockets fit over three or four fingers so you can maneuver in small spots. The foam has light cutting power so its perfect for polishing metal components. Finger Pockets allow you to reach between the slats in your vehicle's grill or between spokes. The foam is more absorbent than a towel so it's great for product application.
16 x 16 inch Cobra Mango Breeze Microfiber Towel
With a 70/30 blend of polyester and polyamide, the Cobra Mango Breeze Microfiber Towels are designed to perform all your cleaning, polishing and buffing jobs at wallet-friendly price. These towels have a double-sided structure: one side has tight loops for cleaning and polishing, the other side is feathery soft for buffing. These mango-colored towels are excellent utility towels.
Before refinishing wheels, ideally you should remove them from the vehicle. This is the safest way to avoid overspray. If you leave them on the vehicle, tape off tires and body panels. Remember, these are paints.
Next, clean each wheel with Wurth Clean-Solve. Use the Wolfgang Finger Pockets to clean between spokes. Wipe dry with the included Cobra Mango Breeze Microfiber Towel.
Prime the clean wheel with 1Z Einszett Primer. Allow it to dry completely before applying paint. This primer is only for bare metal wheels.
Now apply multiple, thin coats of Einszett Silver Wheel Spray Paint. Allow about a half hour between coats. If you apply paint too heavily, it will run.
After the paint is sufficiently dry, apply two or three coats of Wurth High Gloss Clear Lacquer. Again, use multiple, even coats.
