The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pads

The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pads are the only double-sided wool pads in the world! They use the patented Edge 2000 Quick Change System, which automatically centers each pad on the adapter. An indicator strip inside the wool tells you when its time to replace the pad. The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pad help you get great results by eliminating the problems of over-worn pads and imbalanced pads.

The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pads are designed to help you use the pads properly and therefore get better results than with conventional wool pads. Edge’s adapter fits snugly within a plastic plate in the center of each pad. The adapter keeps the pad centered and balanced during operation to avoid cookie-cutting and holograms. The plush wool wraps around the center plate on all sides so the plate is never exposed.

Inside each Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pad is a red indicator strip that tells you when its time to replace the pad. Wool naturally sheds lint but when it becomes worn down, the pad is more likely to burn the paint. If the red strip is visible on The Edge 2000 PLUS Wool Buffing Pad, you know its time to replace the pad. The Edge takes the guesswork out of deciding when to replace pads.

The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pads are made of twisted wool, with the exception of the white Ultrafine Polishing Pad. Twisted wool is denser and more abrasive than non-twisted wool. That’s why the least aggressive pad is not twisted. Also, the variety of wool and percentage of wool affects each pad’s “cut”. The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pads are available in these varieties:

	Yellow Medium Cut 50% Wool, 50% Wool Acrylic Pad The yellow wool pad is moderately aggressive. It removes swirls and moderate scratches, and reduces significant pits and deeper scratches. Use a swirl remover with the yellow pad when aggressive cutting is not needed.
	Green Light Cut 40% Wool, 20% Acrylic, 40% Rayon Pad The green pad produces beautiful results with one step cleaner polishes. It has enough cut for cleaning the removing very light imperfections on paints that are in overall good condition.
	Blue Finishing 70% Acrylic, 30% Wool Pad Use the blue pad for general polishing and gloss-enhancement. The blue pad can be used with any finishing polish to bring out a fine luster on any finish.
	White Ultrafine Polishing 100% Australian Lambswool Pad The lambswool pad has a fluffy, soft texture that produces a mirror-like gloss. It’s the finishing touch pad. Use the white lambswool pad with glazes and prewax cleaners.

The Edge 2000 PLUS 8 Inch Wool Buffing Pads are 8 inches in diameter. They are recommended for high speed rotary buffers. Use the Edge Drive Adapter 5/8” Thread (E-206). To install a pad onto the buffer, screw the adapter onto the polisher and press the center of the pad onto the adapter. It is a very snug fit and does take some force. Place the pad on a flat surface and press down on the polisher to pop the adapter into place. To release the pad, press the release button on the bottom of the adapter.
