For years, I have gotten by with a "cheap" circular polisher, but, now that I'm back to doing some "custom painting" on motorcycles, I thought I would "spoil" myself with "the best".
I first thought to get a PC 7424 and keep using the "old" circular for heavy cutting. I had had some experience with a friends PC and so I knew it was good. I came across the Makita while doing some internet research and decided I could "kill two......".
I have only used it once, but, I am totally sold on it.
It is very efficient to just "flip" the switch to do "da" work, right after a circulal polishing and the 1-5 speed switch, makes things ultimately versital.
I thought to get a D-handle or regular side handle, but, I have great control and "feel" without one, so I'm not upset that a handle was not included.
The "backing" pad is "perfect", but the velcro is too good and the pad can be hard to remove.
I think I can do something to "help" that.
Anyway, this unit is a bit "spendy" but if you are going to need a polish machine, I think it's well worth the price.
