The first time you use your dual action polisher is like a revelation. This is what your paint could’ve looked like all along! The shine, the depth, the reflection – this is what you’ve been missing. Don’t ruin that first moment with sub par pads. Accessories make all the difference. Make a small investment in your vehicle’s future with the Dual Action Deluxe Foam Pad Kit now with CCS Technology!
A dual-action polisher is a great tool to have around, whether you’re a beginner or an expert. Perhaps their greatest attribute is the ease of use for even an amateur, but they produce outstanding results right from the get-go. This collection of pads is all you’ll ever need to accomplish any task that you set out to do with your dual-action polisher. These pads are made of high quality foam that won’t deteriorate on you. The bonnets are great for wax and polish removal with your polisher. The sturdy backing plate won’t let you down, it’s built for endurance. And, for good measure I threw in a couple microfiber detailing towels—a detailer’s best friend.
CCS 6.5 inch Yellow Cutting Foams
Most abrasive. Made of slightly abrasive foam for wearing down the surface of badly scratched, swirled, oxidized or water spotted paint or clear coat. This will reveal a deeper layer, as it exfoliates old, dead paint and evens out the surface. Used in conjunction with a compound or polish it will refresh your dull, chalky paint.
CCS 6.5 inch Orange Light Cutting Foam Pad
Firm, high density foam, superior in quality to all we’ll cover here. It’s unlike any of them. I liken it to the memory foam you see for mattresses. It falls between a cutting and a polishing pad, in action, but is more user friendly and delivers flawless results. (By far the best, most expensive and hardest for us to get—everyone from automobile manufacturers to you and I want them. You’ll see why!)
CCS 6.5 inch White Flat Polishing Foam
High absorption foam formula for the application and removal of waxes, polishes and sealants. The most popular, is constructed of medium-textured foam is designed for application and removal of polishes and waxes. Using a buffer rather than man-power to do this, is quicker, easier and yields super-human results. It has an ever-so-slight cutting ability to enhance the application of a pre-wax cleaner or protective wax
CCS 6.5 inch Black Finishing Foam
Least abrasive. Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final finishing to remove buffer swirls. Use with machine glaze or finishing polish. Ultra-soft and incredible for a putting on that finishing touch. I prefer to use it after buffing off a haze, whether by hand or machine, them coming back over the entire surface with a the finishing pad alone, or, even better, the finishing pad with a microfiber bonnet.
6 inch Lambswool Leveling Pad
Ultra-soft and cushy pad with an abrasive nature to level out uneven paint. Use caution when using: this guy can swirl the paint, especially at higher speeds. Use beneath the other bonnets for better distribution, improved response around edges and corners and enhanced performance all around. I like this best for a cushion underneath the bonnets. Used this way, it’s great for beginners.
2 Microfiber Bonnets
The same applies for microfiber bonnets. You would use a microfiber applicator to wipe your polish or sealant onto your paint, rub it in, or buff it away. It’s especially excelling at final buff-downs, adding a finishing, sparkling touch. When you assemble your buffer and backing plate, add a finishing pad, then top it with a microfiber bonnet, you’re essentially putting together your own electric powered applicator or polishing pad, saving you time and energy. The fabric is strong and non-abrasive, yet has polishing properties to deliver an outstanding gleam.
2 Terry Bonnets
The terry bonnet is 100% soft, absorbent cotton, like the traditional terry towels (back in the days before microfiber took over) that were used in a variety of ways, safely, on the surface of the car: drying, applying or buffing away a wax or polish. Whether polishing or waxing, a terry bonnet can serve the same purpose; but, instead of your arm and hand doing the majority of the work, the polisher or buffer will.
Microfiber Detailing Towel(16 x 16 inches) (color may vary)
Constructed of the finest quality microfibers the Detailing Towel sets the standard with an outstanding 80/20 blend of polyester/polyamide filament, woven so densely they boast over 200,000 strands of fiber per square inch of fabric! These strands are nearly invisible to the naked eye, and are 100 times smaller than a human hair! Use this cloth for cleaning, buffing, and wiping away wax.
Dual Action 5 Inch HD Hook & Loop Backing Plate
Constructed of flexible urethane, this 5 inch backing plate has hook and loop material permanently secured from edge to edge. A recessed edge protects the paint from impact and the post is made of durable stainless steel. The 5/16 inch thread fits any dual action polisher with a corresponding thread.
Foam and wool pads can be washed by hand using DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator. Mix the contents of one packet in 3-4 gallons of water. Soak pads for up to 15 minutes. Use a Foam Conditioning Brush to scrub any stubborn residue out of the foam. Rinse pads thoroughly with clean water and allow them to air dry completely before using them again.
