System One X3 Cutting Polish replaces three polishes – it’s only appropriate that the System One 4.5 Inch Cutting/Finishing Pad is just as versatile! With just one pad, you can remove swirls and scratches and restore a pristine shine to smaller areas using your dual action or rotary polisher. The System One Cutting/Finishing Pad produces flawless results with System One X3 Cutting Polish.

Made by The Edge, the System One 4.5 inch Cutting/Finishing Pad combines the cutting power of wool with the polishing ability of foam. Use the wool side to polish out sanding marks, swirls and scratches. Then flip the pad over to further enhance the paint’s gloss with the white finishing foam. It’s two pads in one!

The System One 4.5 Inch Cutting/Finishing Pad has two sides:

Wool Blend – The wool eliminates color sanding marks, scratches, and severe swirls. This is twisted wool, which has excellent cutting ability to level imperfections.

Finishing Foam – This is a soft but dense closed cell foam used to burnish the paint a deep gloss. This foam has not cut by itself. When used with System One X3 Cutting Polish, the finishing foam polishes the paint to a flawless shine.

The System One Compounding/Polishing Pad is made exclusively for System One by The Edge.
Use the foam side of the pad for finishing. Use the blended wool for compounding.

The foam has the convoluted design of the Edge Wave pads. This wavy foam allows heat to escape from under the pad and minimizes the risk of burning the paint. The System One 4.5 Inch Cutting/Finishing Pad attaches to your rotary polisher with an Edge 5/8 Inch Drive Adapter (E-9233). This adapter works with any rotary polisher and any other Edge pads.

For use on a dual action polisher, use the Edge 2K Drive DA Adapter (9535). This adapter works with the Porter Cable 7424 and 7336, Ultimate Detailing Machine, and all other dual action polishers that accept a 5/16 – 24 inch thread.

When you’re done polishing with the wool side of the System One 4.5 Inch Cutting/Finishing Pad, turn the polisher off and push the quick release button on the adapter. Flip the pad over and pop it back onto the adapter. It’s that easy to go from compounding to polishing!
