So, what's the big deal about the Porter Cable? Built to last, this rugged 3.7 amp polisher has 100% ball bearing construction. The spiral and bevel gearing provides for smooth operation and efficient transfer of power. A variable speed dial sets the orbit rate between 2,500 and 6,000 orbits per minute for precise control. The speed dial is on the end of the motor, out of the way, preventing accidental changing of the speed. These six-inch Cobra™ microfiber bonnets are well-made, reversible, and machine washable. With a 70/30 blend, they are super soft and gentle on all paint finishes. Cover your foam pad directly or layer them over the lamb’s wool leveling pad for a more cushioned application. Either way, they are superior at applying products, polishing and shining.

Lambswool Leveling Pad

The lambswool pad is best used as a cushion underneath a bonnet on your Porter Cable 7424. The wool pad serves as a barrier between the bonnet and the backing plate. Unlike foam pads that can be crushed under a bonnet, the lambswool pad retains its shape and can be used for light compounding if you desire.
