The future is Nan Tech
April 26, 2013
Always wanting to try out the latest high tech products, I had to give this a try. I've used other Nano-Tech products successfully but this seemed to be too easy.
I don't try new stuff on my personal cars, so I got a friends sister to volunteer her black, 3 year old VW Passat.
I rejuvenated the paint with a claying and Porter cable DA with Pinnacle XMT Swirl Remover 2 & 1. The paint responded to the attention and was looking pretty nice.
I read the instructions and followed them to the letter. Spraying the whole car, including the windows. The water/Permanon mixture sat on the surface for a few seconds before the "reaction" happened. Slowly the mixture started to bead up, initially in small sections, then the whole car was beading.
I gently and slowly wiped the surface with a new microfiber cloth. The surface wasn't "even" looking as the water flashed off. I wiped and dried with successive microfiber cloths until the full surface was dry.
Once dry, I rolled the Passat out into the Florida sunshine ... Unbelievable! A glass like shine. I had to test the hydro properties of this Nano product. I took a glass of tap water and poured it onto the hood, windshield and trunk. The water was rejected instantly.
My initial observation is that this product does exactly as it is described. Easy, beautiful finish and water resistant!
