European plate, frame, mounting screws
February 1, 2015
I own a 2014 volkswagon which is obviously a German car. I was so excited to get my custom German plate for my car. I ordered thru autogeek because they claim the plate/mounting kit is compatible with almost any vehicle. Well, guess what... It's not. I was told by an auto detailing business and a Volkswagon dealership that in order to mount the European plate, my entire front bumper would have to be removed and the European plate/frame would have to screwed in. Not worth it. In the state of Massachusetts (unsure of laws in other states), you have to have a front plate and a back plate. So my plan was just to reattach my Massachusetts front plate at the time of inspection. So not only was my time wasted but also my money because I have to pay to ship the plate/frame/mounting screws back to auto geek. Not a happy customer.
